Community Guidelines
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Welcome to Entertainment Industry Social, a private, invite-only network for indie musicians, artists, actors, and industry professionals, operated by Illuminet, LLC, PO Box 763, Waite Park, MN 56387. These guidelines keep the community safe, clean, and focused. By using the Site you agree to follow them along with our Terms of Service.
1. Members Must Be 18 or Older
Entertainment Industry Social is for adults only. Every member must be at least 18 years old. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 will be removed.
2. Invite-Only Membership
- There is no public sign-up. All member profiles are created and approved by the site Admin.
- One account per person. No fake accounts, bot accounts, or bought engagement.
- Do not share your login with anyone.
- Do not pretend to be another artist, label, company, or site staff.
3. Be Respectful
- Treat other members, artists, and staff with respect.
- No harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or discrimination.
- No doxxing (posting someone’s private information) and no organized pile-ons.
- Debate music, art, and ideas freely, but criticize the work, not the person.
4. Keep It Clean
- This is a clean site. No vulgar or profane language in posts, comments, messages, group names, or profiles.
- No vulgar, sexual, explicit, graphic, or shocking images or video, including avatars, cover photos, and uploads.
- No adult or NSFW content of any kind.
- No illegal content, and no content that promotes violence or illegal activity.
5. No Spam
- Self-promotion is welcome in moderation and in the right places: your profile, and groups or threads meant for promotion.
- Do not flood the activity feed, groups, or private messages with repeated posts or links.
- No unsolicited bulk messages, chain posts, scams, phishing, or malware links.
- Paid advertising on the Site goes through our Advertise page.
6. Respect Copyright
Only post music, video, photos, and artwork you created or have permission to share. Credit artists, and link to official sources when you can. To report a copyright problem, see our DMCA & Copyright Policy.
7. Stay On Topic
Posts and groups should relate to music, entertainment, the creative arts, and the business side of the industry.
8. Reporting Problems
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the report option where available or reach the Admin through our Contact page. Please include a link to the content and a short description.
9. Moderation and Removal
The Admin may, at any time and at its discretion:
- hide, edit, or remove any content that breaks these guidelines or our Terms;
- issue a warning;
- temporarily suspend an account; or
- permanently ban an account and remove its content.
Most issues start with a warning. Serious violations, such as threats, explicit content, scams, or illegal activity, may lead to an immediate ban and may be reported to the authorities.
10. Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was a mistake, contact the Admin through our Contact page within 14 days. Explain what happened and why you think the decision should change. The Admin’s decision on appeal is final.
11. Changes
We may update these guidelines from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated guidelines.
